MEET THE TEAM
Howard John Jenkins
Director
Howard started out in the wine industry immediately after finishing an English degree at University in Newcastle, completing his WSET level 3 and then gaining his first job working in the warehouse for Jascots Wine Merchants, a predominantly ‘On-Trade’ business and then progressing to sales support, then finally becoming the Sussex area Manager.
After a years stint training as a chef at Leith’s followed by a period at Chez Bruce in Wandsworth, Howard realised he missed the wine industry too much and was recruited by ‘Woolf Sung’ as private client sales manager. It was there he met Oliver Banks and started ‘Warwick Banks and Jenkins’ in 2016. His favourite wines come from Burgundy. He enjoys watching rugby, skiing and shooting.
Oliver Graham Warwick Banks
Director
In 2008 Ollie moved to South Africa to work on a vineyard in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. This is where his passion for all things wine began. Upon returning to the UK he spent time in wine retail, accomplishing WSET level 3, before moving into fine wine trading.
In 2016 he and Howard launched Warwick Banks & Jenkins. Ollie has a keen knowledge of trading fine wines for both private and trade clients. In particular, Prestige Cuvee Champagne. He enjoys playing Golf in his spare time and is a long suffering Ipswich Town fan.
